Hundreds of travel advisors and senior tourism officials from the Caribbean and United States gathered in St. Kitts for the 2026 ASTA Caribbean Showcase, held from August 22 to 26.
The five-day event opened at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort with a welcome reception and general session featuring Tourism Minister the Honourable Marsha Henderson, Premier of Nevis the Honourable Mark Brantley and tourism ministers from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Turks and Caicos Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
Discussions focused on the Caribbean tourism industry, sustainable growth and improving how travel advisors market regional destinations.
Participants also toured Park Hyatt St. Kitts, KOI Resort Saint Kitts and Royal St. Kitts Hotel, along with attractions such as Timothy Hill Lookout.
The St. Kitts Tourism Authority used the showcase’s trade exhibition to promote the destination, including its Destination Specialist and SKY programmes.
Tourism officials said strengthening relationships with travel advisors is vital to increasing bookings and supporting the local economy.
