St. Kitts and Nevis athletics team “ Team Unstoppable SKN” is all set to represent the twin islands in the upcoming 53rd edition of the CARIFTA Games in Grenada. The team left for Grenada on Thursday 2, April 2026.

The CARIFTA Games are scheduled for Saturday 4 to Monday 6 April, 2026.The championship will be hosted at the Kirani Athletic Stadium, Georges Grenada. The Federation has released 24 athletes’ names for the regional athletics championship.

In the team there were some athletes who have already represented the twin islands in the previous Year CARIFTA Games. There are also first-time athletes who will represent the twin island this year in Grenada. The federation mentioned that the selections of the athletes were done under the qualifying standards. Athletes have secured their places in the team reflects their strong performances, dedication and consistent commitment to the sport.

Delaney President of the St. Kitts and Nevis Athletics expressed  pride in the selection of athletes for the team to represent the twin islands in the championship. He even encouraged the athletes to give their best during the tournament and remind them that the entire federation of ST. Kitts and Nevis stand behind with them.

The Under-17 Girls team will participate in 100m and 200m by Khylinn Prentice and Ta-Junique Huggins in the 100m and 400m. For 400m hurdles Trishanao’Donoghue and in the high jump  Janiah McNeil and in long jump Miel Pemberton. Dejhanee Moses is participating in both long and high jump events. In the shot put event Kezia Phillip and Ayrian Walters in shot put and javelin. De’Cheynelle Thomas will represent the Under-20 Girls category in the 200m and 400m events.

For the Under-17 Boys division, in the 800m event Kymarni Newton will perform and in the 1500m Najeeb Kelly. For the 1500m and 3000m Shandon Burton will compete and for the shot put and javelin Malik Freeman and Kylan Woods also compete in the javelin event

The Under-20 Boys team Chesson Liburd will perform in the 100m and for 400 m Jaylen Bennett. In the 100m hurdles and long jump Tejuan Webbe will compete and in the 400m hurdles T Jayden Hendrickson and Akanye Samuel-Francis. For the javelin event Josano Henderson and Jaheem Clarke and Dejuaan Pemberton and Zackery Nisbett will compete in the high jump. Naseem Gerald in the decathlon and in the shot put Kialan Morton.

Moreover, for the 53rd edition of the CARiFTA Games in Grenada, Shirmon Caines Head Coach and Throws specialist, Adelvin Philip Sprints and Relays Coach. Hurdles Coach Royston Queeley, Jump Coach Roatter Johnson and Team Manager Niketa Isles. Alister James Physiotherapist, Nicola Huggins Parris Safeguarding Officer, Team Media Officer Rashid Stanley and Corneil Williams and Dwayne Warner Congress Delegates will accompany the athletes.
