Hon. Premier Mark Brantley, in his press conference on Monday, March 30, 2026, highlighted a forward-thinking community initiative focused on youth wellness. The Department of Community Development, in collaboration with the Health Promotion Unit, will host the Camp Health program, aimed at promoting healthy eating and an active, holistic lifestyle among primary school-aged children through engaging and interactive activities.

Brantley noted that the program will take place over a two-week period, from April 7 to April 17, at the Jessups Community Center. Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children for this enriching experience. The camp will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost to enroll is $25 per week, or $50 for the full two-week program.

“We are asking the public to allow your children to be a part of this camp,” Brantley said, underscoring the importance of community involvement in fostering healthy lifestyles from a young age.

The Camp Health initiative offers a valuable opportunity for families to invest in their children’s well-being during critical developmental years, reinforcing the importance of early healthy habits in shaping a healthier future generation.
